Coldingham and the surrounding areas have a lot to offer visitors to the Scottish Borders.
Where better to start than the Blue Flag beach at Coldingham Bay.

Coldingham Bay has won the coveted Blue Flag award for 2010. It has also been awarded the top Marine Conservation Society award for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 for cleanliness and quality, the beach, just a 10 minute walk from Rhovanion, has been popular with visitors since Edwardian times when the first beach huts were erected. Disabled parking, toilet facilities including showers and over the summer season, lifeguards, make the beach a safe place for families to enjoy.
St Abbs Nature Reserve - Formed by an extinct volcano, St Abb’s Head is one of the best known landmarks along the Berwickshire coast. It offers stunning cliff scenery and is home to colonies of breeding kittiwakes, fulmars, guillemots, and puffins. It is also home to a wide range of other wildlife including whales, dolphins, seals and red deer. St Abbs Head is owned and managed by the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) and is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a Special Protection Area (SPA) for seabird interest, a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a National Nature Reserve (NNR).
Walking - If you enjoy walking then you will find the Berwickshire coastline delightful. There are a variety of routes to choose, from a stroll on the beach to a one and a half to two hour walk to the small fishing town of Eyemouth. If you head north you will find the St Abbs Nature Reserve with its magnificent coastal views and wildlife. We can also provide a booklet of shorter walks around and about in Coldingham. We are also just a short drive from the Southern Upland Way.
Coldingham Priory - Christian worship was established in Coldingham more than 900 years ago. This beautiful ancient building is perhaps the pride of our village as not many villages have their own Priory. The Priory is just a few minutes walk from Rhovanion. If you are interested in the history of The Priory then have a look at the Coldingham Village web site.
