The historic town of Berwick upon Tweed is just a 10 mile drive from Rhovanion. There is also a regular bus service from the village to the town.
Berwick Barracks. The Barracks, completed in 1721 and believed to be the first purpose built barracks in England, are owned and manged by English Heritage. Open from 1st April - 30 september but closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Kings Own Scottish Borderers Museum. The Regiment was created in 1689 to help defend Edinburgh and survived until 2006 when it merged with the Royal Regiment of Scotland. The museum covers the history and activities of the Regiment.
